# Gophers in Eastvale: The Mounds, the Irrigation, and What Actually Works

**Will they kill my fruit trees?**

They can girdle roots on young trees. Mature citrus is more likely to look thirsty and sad than to fall over, but the irrigation damage is still real.

**Are smoke bombs a good idea?**
